About

Beth Hendrickson was born and raised in a small Michigan town, where she grew up taking every art class and trying out every sport. A self-professed adrenaline junkie, she wanted to try it all. And then she found the theatre, and discovered a passion for sharing stories. Stories bring us together, and allow us to see the world through endless different perspectives.

Now a graduate of Michigan State University with a BFA in Acting, Beth is so excited to continue her career in Chicago. She dedicated her time at MSU to creating opportunities within the arts for not only herself, but her peers as well. Besides taking full advantage of every experience her college had to offer, she served as President of the student body organization within the Department where she coordinated fundraisers and social events to further student initiatives.

Experiences

Making the most of her education, Beth supplemented her theatre major with classes in women's and LGBTQ+ studies. She believes it's an artists imperative to educate themselves on cultural issues that strike chords with them. She also studied the French language, even studying abroad in France one summer. That wasn't her only international experience however. During her senior year she was honored to be invited, along with 9 other students, to attend the 2nd International Theatre Festival at the American University of Sharjah in the UAE. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, of collaborating with her fellow students to devise a show which they performed during the week-long festival, amid workshops and lectures lead by theatre professionals from around the world, including Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune.
